The clearing house provides fully automated post-trade services for derivatives, equities, bonds and secured funding & financing as well as industry-leading risk management technologies.
Your area of work
Eurex Clearing faces various types of risk and has comprehensive risk management policies and services in place to promote integrity, transparency, efficiency and the safety of financial markets. The CCP risk management department is responsible to define these policies and effectively operate related procedures. The Risk Design team within the CCP Risk Management department conceptualizes, implements, and maintains processes around the integration of change into the risk management framework. In addition, the team takes a leading role in the design of functional architecture implemented in numerous infrastructure projects enabling professional risk management of Counterparty Credit and other adjacent risks today and in the future. In your role working student (f/m/d) you will support the teams’ efforts with daily project management operations and selected risk design topics based on your skill set.
Your responsibilities:
- You will support the team in planning, execution and monitoring of project management activities in the CCP Risk Management department
- You will assist in preparing project status reports for stakeholders inside and outside the risk department
- You will contribute to the development of project plans and monitor progress and milestones against project objectives
- You will gain insights into the many facets of Risk Management at a CCP and assist in coordinating project related events or workshops for team members
- In addition, you will coordinate project meetings and taking minutes to ensure that all project-related information is accurately recorded and communicated
- Furthermore, you will assist with communication and coordination between project team members and stakeholders
- You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student and completed the first two years of your program in a relevant field of study such as business administration, economics, or natural sciences with elective courses in finance
- Ideally, you have already gained first practical experience in risk management or derivative markets
- You have excellent communication and analytical skills as well as an affinity for numbers
- In addition, you have an autonomous way of working and the ability to deliver results in an agreed timeframe
- You have experience in MS Office Tools
- Furthermore, you are proficient in written and spoken English; additional German language skills will be an asset
