Mission
Most BD internships teach you to send 100 identical emails a day. This one does not.
At Demodesk, business development is AI-augmented from day one. You will research accounts with AI, personalize outreach with AI, and get coached by AI after every prospect call, because you will be using the product we sell. Your job is the judgment: picking the right accounts, crafting the right message, having sharp conversations with sales leaders at some of Europe's most interesting companies. You will work directly with our sales team and founders, own a piece of our outbound pipeline, and learn what modern, AI-native selling actually looks like. If you want a career in tech sales, there is no faster way to learn it than doing it at the company building the tools.
Goals
- Build and run personalized outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and phone, augmented by AI at every step
- Qualify inbound leads and book meetings for Account Executives
- Run first discovery conversations with prospects and get instant AI coaching feedback on every call
- Keep pipeline data clean in HubSpot (our AI CRM Concierge does the heavy lifting; you review and steer)
- Test new outbound plays and share what works with the team

- Grit and curiosity: outbound means hearing "no" and staying sharp for the next conversation
- Genuine interest in a sales, BD, or GTM career in tech
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program
- Fluent German and English (most of our prospects are in the DACH region)
- First experience in sales, BD, customer-facing work, or your own entrepreneurial project
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or outbound tooling

About us
Demodesk is the AI that does the job, not the AI that tells you what to do. For ten years, sales AI has handed dashboards to overwhelmed reps and called it transformation. We built something different: AI agents that join every sales conversation, update the CRM, send the follow-ups, coach reps after every call, and flag deals at risk before they slip.
Founded in Munich in 2018 and backed by $15M from Balderton, Y Combinator, and the founders of HubSpot and Pipedrive, we serve 300+ customers and 20,000+ sales professionals across Europe, including Porsche, Bosch, Treatwell, OMR, and Enpal. GDPR-native, ISO 27001 certified, EU-only data. We are still small enough that everyone's fingerprints are on the product.Working student essentials
What this Sales internship means for you in Germany: the pay rules, the social contributions, and what international students should check before applying.
Weekly hours
Internships have no 20-hour cap, but a voluntary internship longer than three months generally has to pay at least the German minimum wage. Mandatory internships in your study programme are exempt.
Working student rulesSocial contributions
Mandatory internships are largely exempt from social contributions. Voluntary internships are treated like regular employment once they run long enough, so contributions usually apply.
Check your insuranceInternational students
Non-EU students can work 140 full or 280 half days per year (raised from 120/240 in March 2024). A working student contract usually fits within this — confirm the exact limits printed on your residence permit.
