Working students and interns at Germany's largest companies

Germany's largest companies, the DAX 40 groups such as BMW, Siemens, SAP, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Deutsche Telekom, Infineon, Allianz, BASF and Bayer, together with privately held giants like Bosch, Deutsche Bahn, ZF and Zeiss, are the country's biggest employers of working students and interns. Their student programmes run year-round across engineering, IT, finance, HR, marketing and logistics, and many roles lead to a thesis placement or a graduate offer.

Pay at large groups is usually above the statutory minimum wage of €13.90 per hour (2026), and collective agreements at the industrial groups set transparent rates by degree level. A working student contract is capped at 20 hours per week during the lecture period (full-time in the semester break), which keeps the Werkstudent status that exempts you from health, care and unemployment insurance contributions. Use the filters above to narrow the list by field, working mode or language, and set an alert to get new roles the day they are published.
