Location: Düsseldorf
Department: Group Innovation – Future Lab
Working hours: 38 hours/ week
Start: Immediately or by agreement
Your Responsibilities
- You design and create digital mockups, e.g. physical products, packaging and print templates.
- You generate and visualize new product, service, and business model concepts.
- You create physical and digital proof-of-concepts.
- You conduct customer testing and collect feedback.
- You facilitate ideation sessions and creative workshops.
Qualifications
- You are enrolled in or recently graduated from a design-oriented degree programme, e.g. product design, industrial design, communication design, service design, UX/UI design or a comparable field.
- You can turn rough ideas, sketches or briefings into clear visual concepts. Knowledge of (online) marketing is an advantage.
- Having first experience with prototyping, 3D printing, model making or digital fabrication is an advantage.
- You are confident using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); you have knowledge of Figma, Adobe XD or similar tools.
- You have interest and initial experience in the use of AI-supported design tools.
- You have a basic understanding of user-centred design, design thinking or innovation methods.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende
Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Design in Düsseldorf für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.
Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
