Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Intern to support our Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team in delivering high-quality services across our European Corporate and SSA client base.

In this role, you will contribute to market analysis, preparation of client materials, and the execution of live transactions, gaining hands-on experience in capital markets.

The internship offers a valuable opportunity to develop technical knowledge, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and build a strong foundation in investment banking

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of client pitch materials and presentations
  • Support live transactions and deal execution activities
  • Produce market updates and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor market developments and trends in fixed income and bond markets
  • Contribute to the generation of trade ideas and strategic insights
  • Maintain awareness of European DCM activity and competitor landscape
  • Work closely with internal teams
  • Ensure effective communication and timely delivery of outputs
  • Provide high-quality support with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist in building strong client relationships through reliable delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency of team processes

Skills And Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Debt Capital Markets (DCM): Primary market where governments and corporates issue bonds to raise capital
    • Fixed Income: Financial instruments (e.g. bonds) providing regular interest payments
    • Bond Market Products & Processes: Structure and lifecycle of bond issuance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Languages

  • German – fluent/professional level
  • English – business proficiency

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Finance in Frankfurt für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
