Legal Product Manager (WerkstudentIn)
About us
With RAKETENSTART we are building the digital operating system for founders and small businesses in Germany: from incorporating a GmbH to online notarization to everything that comes after. What used to take weeks and cost a fortune at a law firm, we make fast, transparent, and affordable.
We do not scale by hiring more people to do repetitive work. We scale by building AI agents that handle the routine, so our team can focus on the moments that actually need a human. Every one of those agents needs a legal flow behind it that is correct, clear, and actually helps a founder. That is what this role builds.
This is not a role for someone who wants to coast. We are looking for a high performer who sets a high bar for their own work, moves fast between legal accuracy and product execution, and wants real ownership over what gets built next, without being chased for it.
What you will do
You help build the product, not just describe it:
- Plan and organize what gets built next: keep the backlog of legal flows and features in view, sequence it, and make sure nothing sits half-done or falls through the cracks
- Build product specs and working prototypes directly in Claude, mockups, flows, feature specs, so our engineering team can implement without back-and-forth
- Design and write our Legal Flows: short, interactive flows that explain a legal topic, help a founder assess their own situation, and point to a concrete next step
- Draft and proofread the copy inside every legal product surface, plain language, legally correct, never generic
- Own the handoff. Once something is scoped, you prepare everything the engineering team needs to build it, no loose ends, no missing detail
- Work directly with our tax advisor to get facts right before they reach the product, and translate his input into something a founder actually understands
What you bring
- You are a high performer: you set a high bar for yourself and you deliver, without being chased
- You are naturally organized: you can hold several work streams in view at once, prioritize between them, and keep things moving without someone reminding you
- You are comfortable working inside Claude to prototype, write, and structure specs, not just chat with it for ideas
- You write precisely, German at native level, solid English
- You study law or something with a legal angle, or you have a genuinely strong feel for legal content
- Accuracy is second nature to you, in a legal product details are not optional
- You move easily between structure (specs, documentation) and craft (writing, flow design, UI prep)
- You are self-directed and want real ownership over what gets built next, not a ticket queue
What you get
- Full remote flexibility
- Real responsibility from day one, no coffee runs
- Hands-on experience at the intersection of legal tech, product, and applied AI
- A front-row seat to how our product and its AI agents actually get built
- A small team, short paths, and the chance to shape what we build next
- Fair working-student compensation
- Option to evolve into a full-time role
How to apply
Send us an email on why you are the right fit, which skills you'll bring to take our platform to the next level and why you want to be part of our team to grow our company. We want to see how you think and write, so bonus points if you show us some of your ideas for our platform and tell us how you already use Claude or another AI tool in your own work or studies.
