As Oceyon continues its expansion, we are looking for a highly motivated Operational Support Intern to work directly with the leadership team and contribute across operations, research, technology, fundraising, business development, and project execution.

Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious startup operating at the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, maritime exploration, and venture building.

The selected candidate will work closely with the CEO and management team on a wide variety of operational and strategic projects while helping build the systems, processes, and workflows required to scale the company internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Project Management

• Support the preparation and execution of survey and exploration projects
• Coordinate activities between internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and partners
• Assist in tracking project timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
• Maintain operational documentation and project records
• Help improve and standardize operational workflows
• Research relevant Conferences, keep Conference Database up to date. 

Research & Intelligence

• Conduct deep research on shipwrecks, maritime assets, regulations, permits, markets, technologies, and potential opportunities
• Gather and structure information from multiple sources into actionable reports
• Support competitive intelligence and market analysis activities
• Prepare executive summaries and strategic briefing documents

Artificial Intelligence & Productivity

• Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, reporting, workflow automation, and decision-making
• Build structured prompts and workflows for internal use
• Create AI-assisted reports, presentations, analyses, and databases
• Identify opportunities to improve company efficiency through AI adoption
• Support implementation of AI-based knowledge management systems

Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Assist in preparing investor updates and reporting
• Support investor research
• Maintain CRM databases and investor tracking systems
• Help prepare presentations, one-pagers, and fundraising materials

Marketing & Administrative Support

• Support the creation of marketing materials, company presentations, investor content, and communication assets
• Create and edit short video snippets and visual content for social media, investor updates, events, and business development activities
• Assist in maintaining, updating, and improving Oceyon’s website content
• Support the development and continuous improvement of Oceyon’s internal intranet, knowledge base, and documentation systems
• Assist the CEO and management team with a wide range of operational, administrative, and organizational tasks

Required Profile & Background

• Bachelor’s degree minimum from a reputable university
• Master’s degree is a strong advantage
• 0–2 years of professional experience, internships, entrepreneurial projects, or research experience
• Strong academic background in business, engineering, economics, data science, physics, computer science, international relations, maritime studies, or related disciplines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Additional languages are highly valued
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• High attention to detail and ability to structure complex information
• Comfortable working independently in a startup environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take ownership
• Interest in technology, AI, robotics, exploration, and innovation

Preferred AI & Digital Skills

We are specifically looking for candidates who are highly capable in using modern AI tools and digital productivity systems.

Examples include:

• Advanced use of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, or equivalent AI tools
• Google suite (drive, docs, meet, gemini, studio etc)
• AI-powered deep research and information synthesis
• Prompt engineering and workflow design
• AI-assisted report writing and document preparation
• AI-supported market and competitive intelligence research
• AI-generated presentations and executive summaries
• Workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, Notion AI, Airtable, etc.)
• AI-assisted video creation and editing (e.g., CapCut, Descript, Runway, Synthesia, Canva AI)
• Website content management systems (WordPress or equivalent)
• Canva, Adobe Express, Figma, or equivalent design tools
