Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

Join our Technical Marketing and Application Engineering team and support the development and evaluation of environmental MEMS sensor solutions. In this role, you will work hands-on with sensor systems, contribute to measurement and analysis activities, and help bridge R&D insights with application-focused use cases.

  • Be hands-on: Support measurement activities and data analysis for gas and environmental MEMS sensors at both component and system level
  • Take responsibility: Define and execute test plans, including electrical, optical, and gas measurements in laboratory environments
  • Data is everything: Analyze measurement data, evaluate device performance, and derive insights based on underlying physical phenomena
  • Shape the future: Develop software solutions to automate test routines and control lab equipment used in environmental sensing setups
  • Reliable work: Prepare structured reports and documentation to communicate results clearly across teams
  • Being strong together: Collaborate with R&D and Technical Marketing teams to deepen your understanding of MEMS sensor technologies and their applications

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

  • Study Field: Currently enrolled in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience: Initial hands-on laboratory experience is an advantage, including electrical measurements and environmental setups (e.g., gas, pressure, temperature, humidity)
  • Skills: Strong analytical capabilities in data processing, analysis, and visualization, with the ability to interpret physical phenomena from measurement data
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators. Experience with programming languages such as Python and C/C++ for test automation, instrument control, and data analysis is beneficial. Basic knowledge of board prototyping (e.g., PCB design, layout, soldering) is a plus
  • Interests: Interest in MEMS sensor technologies and environmental sensing applications
  • Way of Working: Proactive, independent, and structured, with a collaborative mindset
  • Personality: Curious, hands-on, and eager to learn in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Language Skills: Fluent English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus
  • Availability: Regular on-site presence is required for laboratory work; candidates living within commuting distance are preferred

Important information:

  • Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree program. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
  • You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
