Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Teamwork makes the dream work: You support internal departmental processes and tasks.
  • Work environment: You work in the laboratory, office, and cleanroom
  • Taking responsibility: You are responsible for planning and independently conducting mechanical strength tests (breaking force tests) on semiconductor chips and performing optical analyses using a confocal laser microscope
  • Data analysis: You support the statistical evaluation of collected data for further use in development projects
  • AI & Programming in everyday work: You actively use AI-based tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, and also possess programming skills in modern languages such as Python or similar

Your profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

  • Field of study: You are currently enrolled in a technical degree program and have an interest in semiconductor manufacturing and laboratory work
  • Skills: You are proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Work style: You are reliable and have a structured approach to your work
  • Availability: You can work at least 10 hours per week alongside your studies
  • Work environment: Due to your laboratory and cleanroom responsibilities, you primarily work on-site
  • Language skills: You have good written and spoken German and English skills

Important information:

  • Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
  • You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
