As a Working Student in our Fleet IT department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of mobile devices onboard our vessels. Your primary focus will be on supporting the MDM team with hardware-related tasks, but you'll also have the opportunity to explore other areas of Fleet IT depending on your interests and our needs.
What You´ll Do
- End-to-end support for mobile devices, including initial setup and configuration
- Close collaboration with the MDM team in Chennai for device configuration and alignment
- Status tracking and shipment monitoring for transparent communication with the Fleet Management department
- Testing, troubleshooting, and stakeholder alignment to ensure optimal MDM processes
- Re-evaluation and documentation of MDM procedures in collaboration with the Chennai team
- Support in various Fleet IT areas, such as hardware delivery, setup, and configuration of other equipment
- Onsite IT support on vessels calling German ports, working closely with our Hamburg office colleagues
- Assisting with capacity monitoring and ensuring efficient resource allocation
What Makes You A Fit
- Enrolled as a full-time Bachelor or Master student in (Business) IT or a related field
- Structured and reliable work ethic with strong analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is a must
- Fluent in English, with German language skills preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for maritime environments
- Minimum of 10 months of study remaining, with availability to work 20 hours/week
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment, as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail
