Intern (m/f/d) Process Excellence

As an intern in Process Excellence, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with experts to optimize Hapag-Lloyd's processes. Your role is vital in achieving our goals of improving efficiency, reducing costs and ensuring top-notch customer outcomes.

• Support Process Excellence initiatives end-to-end, from problem identification to implementation
• Assist in roadmap execution by preparing materials, tracking milestones, and maintaining action logs for transparency
• Identify process improvement opportunities through process mapping, pain point collection, and data analytics
• Support KPI and benefit tracking by gathering data, validating assumptions, and maintaining dashboards
• Contribute to workshops and continuous improvement routines, ensuring effective documentation and action tracking
• Assist with process mining and data exploration to identify bottlenecks and deviations
• Prepare for automation initiatives by extracting, cleaning and interpreting data
• Collaborate with process experts and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow and maintain a reliable, detail-oriented work style, taking ownership of assigned tasks and follow-ups

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Economics or a related field
• Interest in Business Process Management and Continuous Improvement with a passion for structured problem-solving, as well as basic knowledge or a strong willingness to learn Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
• Analytical mindset and proficiency in working with data, with Qlik or process mining experience a plus
• Ability to structure information clearly, creating concise and informative documents, as well as strong collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse international stakeholders
• Reliable, detail-oriented work ethic and a commitment to task ownership
• Interest in shipping, logistics or maritime industries is advantageous
• Fluent in English, with additional languages a plus
• Enthusiasm for process-focused studies or related fields, as well as a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, ready to contribute to our process excellence journey
