Summer 2026 Internship Programme at Clyde & Co Dusseldorf

Clyde & Co's Dusseldorf office invites ambitious law students to join our practice for Summer 2026. This is not just an internship—it's your gateway to becoming an exceptional litigator or arbitrator, working alongside leading practitioners on complex, high-stakes matters that shape the legal landscape.

Immersive Professional Experience

We view our internship programme as a strategic investment in emerging legal talent. Spanning four weeks during Summer 2026, this programme demands commitment—and rewards it accordingly. Working 5 days per week, you'll be fully integrated into our team, handling substantive legal work that contributes directly to client projects.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis across case law, secondary sources, and specialised legal materials for active client disputes
  • Collaborate with our attorneys in drafting and preparing court submissions
  • Maintain professional communication with courts, regulatory authorities, administrative bodies, and notaries on ongoing matters
  • Gain insight into litigation and arbitration strategy through direct involvement in case preparation

Candidate Requirements

Successful candidates must:

  • You are welcome to join us from the third semester onwards.
  • Have successfully completed coursework in civil law, civil procedure, and commercial companies law
  • Possess analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate effectively, with superior writing ability
  • Show attention to detail and organisational efficiency
  • Be intellectually curious and able to adapt to new challenges

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
