What You'll Do
As an Intern, you’ll support our Corporate Communications Team with a focus on in-house communication. In this role, you’ll gain broad insights into BCG’s internal employee communications in Central Europe, working together closely with other colleagues in the Marketing and Communications department across all of BCG’s markets in Central Europe.
The Corporate Communications team is responsible for BCG’s internal and external communications—both with employees and the general public. In the area of Internal Communications, we facilitate timely, targeted, and effective communication with various in-house audiences. This includes the strategic planning and execution of communication events and formats.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Creating and designing content, texts, and visual designs for various internal communication formats such as townhall meetings, newsletters, mailings, and videos
- Supporting the design and implementation of creative communication initiatives to inform and inspire our employees in a targeted manner
- Contributing to the continuous development and optimization of existing internal communication channels and formats
- Assisting with the analysis and preparation of feedback as well as internal communication reports
- Developing and formulating key messages for internal communication as well as for cross-functional corporate initiatives, campaigns, and formats
- Participating in internal consultations on strategic and operational planning, and assisting with organizational tasks such as maintaining databases, managing subscriptions, and coordinating events
- You are currently enrolled as a student at a college or university, or you have already earned a degree, ideally in business administration, economics, political science, marketing, media and communication, journalism, or the humanities.
- You are passionate about communication and enjoy being creative.
- You ideally have some initial experience in journalism or communications and enjoy writing.
- You’re interested in business topics and economic issues.
- You are proficient in the MS Office suite. Knowledge of Foleon is a plus, as is experience working with AI tools.
- You ideally have s basic understanding of graphics and video software.
- Excellent German and English language skills round out your profile.
- Your high level of perceptiveness and your willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics set you apart from others.
- You impress with your initiative, high quality standards, motivation, and flexibility, and you’re able to keep track of multiple topics in parallel.
- You’re dependable, eager to take on responsibility, and enjoy working in a team.
- You are articulate and confident in your demeanor.
- You’re unfailingly friendly and polite in interactions with clients and coworkers.
You’ll be part of the Corporate Communications team in Central Europe that works together closely with its counterparts in the Munich, Düsseldorf, Zurich, Prague, Budapest, and Warsaw offices. Your supervisor will help you familiarize yourself with the company and continuously develop your skills. You will also always be able to draw on the experience of your coworkers.
