Your Mission
As an Intern in our Global Reporting & Investments team, you will support driving financial reporting for BMG’s Management Board and our shareholder, Bertelsmann. In this role, you will collaborate on exciting international reporting and controlling projects, using state-of-the-art financial technology to support transparency and data-driven decision-making.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Reporting: Contribute to group-wide management reporting and planning processes, including the preparation of insights for senior management and shareholder reporting.
Financial Performance: Support the month-end closing cycle, with a focus on P&L and cash flow as well as performance analysis.
International Projects: Work on international controlling projects across BMG in close collaboration with our business controllers.
System & Landscape Evolution: Help to further develop reporting landscapes, dashboard solutions, and controlling standards to improve transparency, efficiency, and decision-making.
Tech Collaboration: Collaborate with local finance teams and the global finance technology team to enhance data quality, automation, and reporting capabilities.
Your Profile
The Music & Mindset: You have an analytical mindset paired with a genuine passion for the music and entertainment industry.
Communication Skills: You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment across teams and territories.
Education: You have completed, or are currently pursuing, a bachelor’s (at an advanced stage) or master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Controlling (or equivalent).
Prior Experience: You have already gained initial practical experience through prior internships in consultancy or finance roles within international environments.
Tech Savviness: You have excellent skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint; first experience with SAP BW is a plus.
Languages: You have a high level of English proficiency (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende
Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Finance in Berlin für dich bedeutet — Vergütungsregeln, Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.
Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
