Work modes across 9,651 newly observed listings in Germany, September 2026. On-site 5,886 (61.0%); hybrid 3,594 (37.2%); fully remote 171 (1.8%).

Hybrid listings rose from 3,497 to 3,594, an increase of 97 or 2.8%. Their share increased from 32.5% to 37.2%. That higher share reflects both the small increase in hybrid listings and the lower overall total.

Fully remote roles accounted for 171 listings, or 1.8%, compared with 217 in August. Including suitable hybrid roles can broaden your options. Confirm required office days and the actual workplace with the employer.

German remained a common requirement

German was marked as required in 8,738 listings, or 90.5%. English was required in 4,971 listings, or 51.5%. These flags overlap: a listing can require both languages. The English percentage therefore does not measure roles available without German.

Use the English-language job filter as a starting point, then verify each description. An English title alone does not establish the language requirements.

Employers with the most newly observed listings

  1. Search by skills and adjacent functions. Operations remained large, while engineering grew despite the lower overall total.

  2. Combine city and work-mode filters. Munich and Berlin had the largest observed markets; suitable hybrid roles broaden the choice.

  3. Check language requirements individually. English and German may both be required.

  4. Clarify pay and scheduling early. Only 1,580 listings, or 16.4%, included salary information.

  5. Apply to current openings and use the job-alert form. September listings may already have closed.

Methodology and limitations

The reporting period is 1–30 September 2026, using first_seen_at from 1 September at 00:00 UTC up to, but excluding, 1 October at 00:00 UTC. This timestamp records first discovery by our platform, which may differ from the employer’s publication date. Data was extracted on 10 October 2026.

All 9,651 September listings were flagged as located in Germany and as working-student jobs or internships. Job types overlap: 6,168 had the working-student flag, 3,853 the internship flag and 370 both. Each listing is counted once in the overall total.

Field and work-mode figures use database classifications; four listings had no classified field. City counts use the primary location; 143 listings lacked one. Employer totals count distinct associated companies, and language flags can overlap.

Comparisons use the August baseline of 10,765 listings and 3,910 employers, plus the saved August field, city and work-mode breakdowns. September shares use 9,651 as the denominator. Percentages are rounded to one decimal place.

This is not a census of the German labour market. Listings can represent similar or repeated opportunities. The data does not establish the number of unique open positions, applications or hires. Salary disclosure measures whether pay information is present, not typical pay.
