At Libra, we are transforming how legal professionals work. Our AI platform combines deep legal reasoning with cutting-edge generative technology to reshape how lawyers research, draft, and deliver legal work.
We are looking for motivated and curious engineering interns to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience building real product features and contribute to both backend and frontend development in a collaborative and agile environment.
You’ll be working at the vibrant Merantix AI Campus in Berlin, surrounded by a community of AI innovators. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a bias toward action.
This is a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to a cutting-edge AI product that is redefining the legal tech space.
What you’ll do:
- Support the development of product features across the stack—from backend APIs to frontend interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver user-friendly and performant features.
- Write clean, maintainable code and follow software engineering best practices.
- Assist in testing, debugging, and improving existing systems.
- Learn and apply modern technologies, including AI tools, to improve development workflows.
- Participate in team discussions and contribute ideas to improve the product.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Some academic, personal, or internship experience in software development.
- Familiarity with Python (FastAPI is a plus) or willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web development frameworks.
- Understanding of fundamental programming concepts and software engineering principles.
- Interest in AI technologies and tools (e.g., LLMs, coding assistants) is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative and collaborate with a team.
- Good communication skills in English (German is a plus).
This is a hybrid role, where you will spend at least eight days a month at our office, giving you the opportunity to collaborate closely with your team and learn from experienced engineers.
What We Offer
In just over a year, Libra has become one of Europe’s fastest-growing legal AI companies, working with leading law firms, corporate legal departments, and publishers.
As part of Wolters Kluwer’s Legal & Regulatory Division, you’ll join a global technology company while gaining hands-on experience in a high-impact, fast-growing product environment.
You’ll benefit from:
- Real-world experience on a cutting-edge AI product
- Mentorship from experienced engineers
- Exposure to modern technologies and best practices
- A collaborative and learning-focused environment.
Wolters Kluwer – Be the difference. If making a difference matters to you, then you matter to us.
Our Interview Practices
To maintain a fair and genuine hiring process, we kindly ask that all candidates participate in interviews without the assistance of AI tools or external prompts. Our interview process is designed to assess your individual skills, experiences, and communication style. We value authenticity and want to ensure we’re getting to know you—not a digital assistant. To help maintain this integrity, we ask to remove virtual backgrounds and include in-person interviews in our hiring process. Please note that use of AI-generated responses or third-party support during interviews will be grounds for disqualification from the recruitment process.
Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.
