Description provided by smalt
Marketing & Sales Intern (m/f/d), Berlin
As our Marketing & Sales Intern (m/f/d), you support our partner growth from both sides: you reach out to skilled trade businesses and you build the marketing that makes them say yes. You work closely with Growth, Sales and our Marketing team.
Your Impact
- Talk to master craftsmen by phone and WhatsApp, follow up on interested businesses and help turn first conversations into booked meetings.
- Plan and send email and WhatsApp campaigns, test new messages and report what works.
- Create material for trade fairs, flyers and social media (e.g. in Canva) and help run our fair appearances.
- Keep our contact lists and CRM clean, so every contact is tracked from first call to signed partnership.
- Help build our organic content strategy on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok: plan posts and short videos, publish consistently and learn from what performs.
- Be measured on results, from booked meetings to signed partners, not on activity alone.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- You like talking to people on the phone and you listen well.
- You write clean German and have an eye for good copy and design.
- You work independently and stay on it when someone doesn't call back right away.
- You know Instagram, Facebook and TikTok as a user and creator, and you have a feel for what works in short-form video.
- First experience in marketing or sales is a plus, but not required.
- Fluent German and working English.
- Based in Berlin.
Why You'll Love Working With Us
- Full-time internship, 6 month duration, with the option to move into a permanent full-time role
- Hybrid work setup (3 days/week in our Berlin office)
- Real ownership from day one, flat hierarchies and a steep learning curve
- A startup of 25 to 30 people with short decision paths
Working student essentials
What this Marketing internship in Berlin means for you: the pay rules, the social contributions, and what international students should check before applying.
Weekly hours
Internships have no 20-hour cap, but a voluntary internship longer than three months generally has to pay at least the German minimum wage. Mandatory internships in your study programme are exempt.
Working student rulesSocial contributions
Mandatory internships are largely exempt from social contributions. Voluntary internships are treated like regular employment once they run long enough, so contributions usually apply.
Check your insuranceInternational students
Non-EU students can work 140 full or 280 half days per year (raised from 120/240 in March 2024). A working student contract usually fits within this — confirm the exact limits printed on your residence permit.
