Description provided by SAP

We help the world run better

At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What You'll Build

Security compliance is what lets thousands of organizations trust SAP with their most critical operations. Our team, Compliance Technology & Distribution (CTD), builds and runs the services that make that trust visible: from automated audit management to the tools that put SAP's compliance certificates directly into customers' workflows.

As a working student, you'll contribute to the day-to-day operations of our Compliance Offering Distribution (COD) service, improve the processes around it, and coordinate across teams to keep things running. This is real, consequential work: compliance documents that don't reach customers on time create genuine business problems, and you'll help make sure they don't.

You'll also be close to a meaningful shift in how compliance works. Driven by new regulations like NIS2, DORA, and the AI Act, we're building toward continuous, AI-powered and API-driven compliance automation. You'll see that evolution from the inside and contribute to it.

What You'll Do Day-to-day

  • Support compliance document distribution operations: tracking requests, coordinating delivery, and improving service quality
  • Identify process gaps and help fix them: propose improvements, document outcomes, follow through
  • Coordinate with audit, product, and service partner teams to keep workflows aligned
  • Maintain service documentation and operational reporting
  • Engage with AI-assisted compliance automation tooling and contribute to how we develop it further

What You Bring

  • Student (f/m/d) Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, or something similar
  • Comfortable with Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams); experience with ticketing or service management tools is a plus
  • Fluent in English. This is our working language; German is welcome but not a requirement
  • You like working in a team, can drive tasks independently to completion, and don't wait to be told what to do
  • Scripting or programming experience is a plus; so is any prior work experience
  • Working from the Walldorf office is not required. Hybrid is welcome.

Where you belong

CTD is part of SAP Global Security and Cloud Compliance, the organization accountable for SAP's security posture and compliance certifications across a global customer base. Our three services keep that posture real and auditable: the Compliance Cockpit is used by thousands across SAP for controls-based audit management; the Self-Auditing Automation Framework automates control testing; and COD gets SAP's certifications and reports into customers' hands when they need them.

We're a team of 12. You won't be in a large rotation program. You'll work directly with experienced colleagues in a team that owns real products and makes real decisions. If you want to understand how enterprise-scale security compliance works and be part of building the AI-powered tools that are transforming it, this is the right place to be.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.

This is a SAP global, strategic, paid working student position that provides students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.
