The Public Relations Intern will support the communication and visibility of PromptPrize, its weekly winners, featured projects, and the wider AI creative ecosystem.
About the Role
The Public Relations Intern will support day-to-day PR and communications activities remotely.
The role involves working on real communication projects, promoting weekly winners and featured projects, and supporting relationships with journalists, media outlets, creators, and partners.
This position is suited to someone interested in the intersection of public relations, media, AI, creativity, and emerging technology, and looking to gain practical experience in a fast-moving creative environment.
Responsibilities
Support the development of press releases, press materials, and media announcements
Research relevant journalists, publications, influencers, and media outlets
Assist with media outreach and relationship building
Promote weekly winners, featured projects, and PromptPrize initiatives
Monitor and document media coverage and PR activities
Maintain and update journalist and media contact databases
Prepare briefing documents, background information, and communication materials
Support PR campaigns and strategic communication initiatives
Assist with the planning and communication of events, announcements, and launches
Help maintain consistent messaging across PR, social media, and other communication channels
Research trends in AI, digital creativity, media, and communications
Collaborate with team members through digital communication and collaboration tools
Qualifications
Strong interest in Public Relations and Media Relations
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to write clear, engaging, and audience-focused content
Interest in AI-generated media, digital creativity, and emerging technologies
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently
Proactive, reliable, and hands-on approach to work
Current student or recent graduate in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Basic proficiency with office, communication, and collaboration tools
