As a Working Student Strategic Procurement & Cost Analysis, you will support the procurement team in evaluating cost structures, purchasing data, and supplier quotations. The role contributes to informed decision-making in procurement, material management, and cost optimization. Working in an international environment, you will collaborate with various stakeholders and support both strategic and operational purchasing activities.

YOUR TASKS

  • As a Working Student Strategic Procurement & Cost Analysis, you analyze cost structures of Nordex control cabinets using bill of materials data from SAP and Excel
  • You perform ABC analyses and evaluate material consumption, warehouse structures, packaging concepts, and lot sizes
  • You analyze purchasing and price developments regarding volumes, order frequencies, and market trends
  • You support make-or-buy analyses to enable strategic procurement decisions
  • You prepare and create PowerPoint presentations to support management decision-making
  • You request, compare, and evaluate supplier quotations based on relevant commercial and technical criteria
  • You support operational procurement processes from prototype sourcing to pre-series purchasing and maintain pricing and condition data in SAP

YOUR PROFILE

  • You are currently enrolled in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field of study
  • You have strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Initial experience with SAP is considered an advantage
  • You demonstrate an analytical mindset and a strong affinity for working with numbers
  • You work independently, in a structured manner, and with a high level of accuracy
  • You have strong teamwork and communication skills and enjoy collaborating in an international environment
  • You have advanced English language skills and ideally initial experience with digital tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or think-cell
