Munich Re Facultative & Corporate (F&C) is responsible for all our business written globally as facultative reinsurance or direct insurance in the lines Property, Engineering, Energy, Casualty, Cyber and New Risk Solutions. Since its foundation in 2019, MR F&C has significantly and profitably grown its portfolio and invested in innovative initiatives.
A strong target operating platform building the foundation for future AI capabilities has become a key element of the future strategy, where AI is a big leaver to reduce complexity in the UW Process and increase efficiency. For this reason, we are looking for an intern that helps drive forward the implementation and roll-out of AI Uses for Underwriting together with the Platform & Solutions Team, Underwriting Business Units, and IT.
Your Job
- Work closely with the Product Owner for AI Use Cases in F&C, supporting project steering, planning, and delivery.
- Take ownership of maintaining and developing the AI Use Case Gallery.
- Gather input and facilitate regular exchanges within the F&C AI multiplicator community.
- Test AI solutions for underwriting in close collaboration with business, AI experts and development teams.
- Coordinate and document user acceptance testing.
- Prepare clear, management-ready presentations and communication materials for project stakeholders.
Your Profile
- You are studying Management & Technology, Information Technology, Business Informatics or a related field, preferably at postgraduate level
- You have practical experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or comparable solutions and are familiar with prompt engineering through university projects, internships or personal initiatives.
- Initial experience in AI-focused IT projects is an advantage.
- You are proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft 365
- You bring a proactive and independent working style, strong organisational skills and a high level of ownership.
- You are an open and approachable communicator who enjoys connecting people and working in collaborative environments.
- You have a very good command of English; German is an advantage. Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
