Intern (m/f/d) Sustainability Projects

At Hapag-Lloyd, we are passionate about sustainability and are committed to leading the way in maritime logistics. As an intern, you will be part of our dynamic Sustainability Team, working on projects that shape the future of green shipping. Your role will be crucial in supporting our Strategy 2030, which aims to align with the 1.5°C climate pathway and achieve net-zero fleet operations by 2045.

What You`ll Do

• You are an enrolled student (Bachelor’s 2nd year or higher / Master students) in a relevant field e.g. Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management
• Perform data analyses and create regular reports to track and communicate progress
• Act as a sustainability innovation radar, especially in AI, data and automation fields
• Collaborate with the team to drive initiatives forward and ensure project success
• Engage with stakeholders and contribute to effective communication of sustainability efforts
• Stay updated on the latest green innovations and share insights with the team and assist in identifying and evaluating potential partnerships for sustainability projects
• Support the team in developing and implementing internal sustainability training programs.

What Makes You A Fit

• Currently enrolled in a full-time program in Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management etc. with availability of approximately 12 months
• Passion for sustainability and climate action, with a desire to make a difference
• Strong organizational skills and basic project management experience, as well as proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly
• Collaborative mindset and a willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
• Prior experience in sustainability, project management, strategy, or consulting is a plus
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Open-minded and adaptable to a dynamic work environment, as well as eagerness to learn and contribute to a sustainable future
