Your Responsibilities

As part of the ST Flex and Algorithmic Trading Team, you will support the development of our battery energy storage and flexible asset portfolio. You will help to implement front-to-end readiness for new assets and products and work hands-on to improve trading operations (e.g. deal flow, performance monitoring) across commodity and balancing markets.

• Support onboarding flexible assets (e.g. BESS) by preparing materials, setting up configurations in trading systems and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Help translate operational needs into clear requirements/user stories for trading systems (algo trading, deal capture, monitoring)
• Setup and run analytics and monitoring for reliable reporting and continuous improvement of trading performance
• Assist implementation projects with documentation, test cases, rollouts and stakeholder coordination
• Support the design and continuous improvement of short-term market access solutions and contract documentation
• Improve stability and automation for short-term trading processes together with trading, operations and IT
  
  
  

Your Profile

• You are currently enrolled at university in energy economics, information systems, engineering, natural sciences or a comparable discipline
• Strong interest in energy trading and flexibility markets, ideally with first exposure to German Day-Ahead, Intraday and ancillary services markets
• Analytical, structured working style and a hands-on mindset to improve processes
• Technical affinity and experience with BI/data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI); Python and/or SQL skills are a strong plus
• Interest in working with trading operations, data flows and performance reporting
• You are a team player with strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating across teams like trading, IT and other stakeholders
• You have full working proficiency in English with the ability to write and communicate clearly and concisely; German language skills are a plus
