Description provided by Dolby Laboratories

Dolby Germany GmbH Professional Solutions Team

Student Placement – 6-12 months (2026/2027)

The Professional Solutions team helps Dolby’s professional partners to incorporate Dolby technologies into the products they make for the content creation and delivery in broadcast and multiscreen markets. This means that the team often has an important strategic role in employing new technologies. The Professional Solutions team oversees partners across Europe, Asia, and America, operating in the UK, Germany, Spain and San Francisco. The team offers a great opportunity to get an overview of several different areas of business including account and customer relationship management, sales, business development, strategy, technical support and legal operations.

The ideal student for this position would have the curiosity to learn more about the technology and audio-visual industry. In a standard working day, the student will get to independently work on assigned projects and support account managers on their day-to-day actions through creating revenue reports and research. For this, the student needs strong verbal and written communication abilities to be able to confidently interact with teams within the company as well as directly with customers. Besides the communication skills, confidence with numbers and working in an Excel environment is critical, as numerical data is often required to support decision making within the team.

In the Professional Solutions Team, you will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Working actively within an international environment as part of a small international team based in UK, Germany, Spain and USA, at the interface of business and technology.
  • Directly interacting with customers in a business-to-business sales environment.
  • Effectively working within Excel and other key business software, such as SAP and SalesForce, to create clear reports for the needs of senior management.
  • Customer relation management regarding onboarding, agreement initiation and maintenance, product registration and royalty reporting.
  • Setting up and pushing through business assessments.
  • Staying on top of customer and market activity, through internet research, and maintaining internal records, relevant to account managers and senior management for maintaining licensing relationships.
  • Content-related maintenance of the professional sections of dolby.com.
  • Working with various real business projects and launches in a top high-tech company.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Great independent, proactive working skill.
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with knowledge of Excel pivot tables desirable.
  • A good understanding of basic business and financial models: profit and loss, potential revenue, etc.
  • A structured approach to problem-solving with excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Good organization skills, and ability to prioritize.
  • Applicants should be at least on their second year of Undergraduate degree studying Business, Finance or other relevant degrees.

This is a paid placement opportunity in our Munich, Nuremberg or Berlin office.
