Department Description & Job Purpose

The Practice Area supports Allianz Operating Entities and internal stakeholders with structured consulting and delivery services across a range of strategic and operational topics. The team combines analytical thinking, strong project management, and reliable execution to translate Group priorities into practical, implementable initiatives. Working closely with cross‑functional partners and the wider consulting network, the Practice Area provides scalable support aligned with Group standards while addressing local business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with consultants to support project execution across a variety of topics, ensuring structured processes and smooth day‑to‑day coordination
  • Support research and analysis on market trends, AI integration, and business practices relevant to consulting engagements
  • Assist project teams with planning, tracking, and documentation of workstreams, ensuring milestones, timelines, and quality standards are met
  • Work with consulting teams, bearing responsibility for specific tasks, the quality of your deliverables and ensuring project milestones are reached
  • Assist the team in analyzing customer needs, and developing creative concepts and concrete measures for implementation
  • Contribute to business development and client pitches under the guidance of an Engagement Manager
  • Contribute to internal projects within Allianz Consulting, including internal knowledge sharing and team events

Key Requirements

  • Enrollment in a German University (for working student positions).
  • Consulting experience, via internships/ working student positions is desirable
  • Understanding of insurance or financial services, ideally gained through academic studies, internships, or prior work experience
  • Fluency in German and English (minimum B2); international study experience or studies abroad are a strong plus
  • Student status throughout the duration of the contract for working student role.
  • Basic understanding of Project Management, AI frameworks and the ability to utilize AI tools in everyday tasks. Interest in supporting clients in adopting AI for successful business transformation.
  • You can start in July/August and are interested in a working student position for 6 months- part time (16-20 h/week)
