We are currently looking for a Working Student to join the Sustainability Research Team! The position will be based in our Frankfurt office.

About The Job

Allianz Global Investors is seeking a Working Student for the Sustainability Research Team, reporting to the Head of Sustainability Research.

The Sustainability Research Team develops in-depth, high-quality and forward-thinking thematic research around the firm’s three key areas of focus in sustainability: Climate Change and Transition, Planetary Boundaries, and Inclusive Capitalism.

This role offers the opportunity to support the development of Sustainability Research at one of the world’s leading asset managers with a strong commitment to Sustainable and Impact Investments. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across various functions and AllianzGI’s global locations while working within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.

What You Do

  • Undertake company ESG analysis
  • Contribute to sustainability sector research
  • Support thematic research on sustainable themes
  • Assist the Investment Platform and other internal stakeholders with ad hoc requests
  • Support the team across a broad range of responsibilities covering companies, sectors and sustainability themes.

What You Bring

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field with a specialization in Sustainable Development
  • Strong interest in sustainability and sustainable investing
  • Business or Finance background
  • Specialization or at least minor studies in Sustainability or ESG
  • Solid analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and willing to support different topics and team members when required
  • Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely
  • Strong team player with a self-reliant and proactive working style
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with strong writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel (minimum intermediate level)
  • Eager to explore new tools and resources, including AI
  • Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
