As a full-time Strategy & Growth Intern for 6 months, you’ll work alongside talented analysts and strategists, contributing directly to key decisions that shape trivago’s future. You’ll be fully integrated into a team recognized as a key driver of company success, leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing how we operate, grow, and innovate. On top, you will spend dedicated rotations within key marketing teams such as Media Buying and Digital Marketing gaining firsthand understanding of their strategies, workflows and how they interface with the Strategy & Growth Managers to achieve shared business objectives.

How you’ll make an impact:
- Collect, analyze, and integrate market insights and cross-departmental learnings into our business strategy
- Assist in forecasts and proactive performance monitoring to keep trivago on its growth path
- Build clear, actionable analytics and reports for operational teams, making complex data accessible and useful
- Apply key performance indicators (KPIs) to help spot opportunities, risks, and drivers for positive change
- Help craft business cases that support major investment decisions and company-wide initiatives
- Contribute to regular KPI tracking and reporting, supporting transparency and evidence-based decisions
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree: Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Business Administrative, Economics, Econometrics or a related field
- Data & Analysis: Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Data Storytelling: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are a must
- Communication: Fluency in English (our company language) and comfort working within diverse, cross-functional teams
- Curiosity & Ownership: Willingness to take initiative, learn quickly and autonomously, and proactively engage with challenges and feedback
- Team Spirit: Ready to embrace trivago’s caring performance philosophy: striving for excellence while supporting and uplifting your teammates
- Work Authorization: You must hold a valid work visa for Germany or EU/EFTA citizenship

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende
Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Operations in Düsseldorf für dich bedeutet — Vergütungsregeln, Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.
Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
