About The Opportunity

At Toyota Racing, the Project Management Office (PMO) plays a key role in supporting projects and driving operational efficiency across the organization.

We offer an exciting internship opportunity for a Bachelor-level student who is interested in project management and motorsport. During the internship, you will support the PMO team in developing and improving internal tools, reports, templates, and performance indicators that help increase efficiency and transparency across projects.

This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and international motorsport environment while contributing to meaningful process improvements.

Your Challenge

The PMO department relies on efficient reporting, automated tools to support project execution and decision-making. As an intern, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of these tools and help streamline PMO activities.

Your work will focus on transforming data into actionable information and improving the efficiency of daily project management operations.

Key tasks include:

  • Developing and improving internal PMO reports and dashboards
  • Supporting the creation and optimization of VBA macros and Excel-based tools
  • Assisting in the development of project management templates and standards
  • Creating and maintaining KPIs to monitor project and departmental performance
  • Supporting data extraction, analysis, and reporting activities
  • Identifying opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements
  • Documenting developed tools and processes to ensure sustainable usage

Duration & Start

  • Start date: Second half of the year (to be defined)
  • Duration: 4–6 months
  • Internship type: Bachelor-level internship

Your Tasks

  • Support the PMO team in daily reporting activities
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based tools and templates
  • Create automated solutions using VBA and reporting technologies
  • Assist in KPI definition, tracking, and visualization
  • Analyse project-related data and provide meaningful insights
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Have a strong interest in project management and motorsport
  • Possess very good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Have knowledge of VBA programming
  • Have experience with SQL and/or Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Be analytical, structured, and detail-oriented
  • Be able to work independently as well as within an international team
  • Have good communication skills in English

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
