Responsibilities

Join TeamViewer as an Intern in our Software Development team and help us explore cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of intelligent software.

  • Design and develop new functionality for our software using coding languages but not limited to C++ and C#
  • Collaborate closely with experienced engineers and researchers in a dynamic, cross-functional team
  • Optimize and enhance our software with new, efficient algorithms and modern software technologies
  • Translate ideas from whitepapers into efficient, production-ready code
  • Work independently on solutions for specified requirements
  • Be responsible for adhering to time and quality specifications
  • Monitor the latest technical developments on your field and make proposals for improvement

Requirements

  • You’re currently enrolled in a university program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or any related subject
  • Mandatory internship is in your curriculum and that you will use it (this is a must!)
  • Solid programming experience in C++
  • Ability to write a robust code in C# is a plus
  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript is a plus
  • Solid experience with version control tools like Git
  • Understanding of Clean Code and Design Patterns for object-orientated programming
  • Fluency in English
  • Previous experience through personal projects, open-source contributions, or internships in related areas is a plus

  • Our Working Students in Germany receive a competitive monthly salary:
    • €1,566 for a 20-hour/week contract
    • €1,253 for a 16-hour/week contract
    • €1,400 for a full-time internship position

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
