About The Role
Join our Commercial Market Data Licensing Team at RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST) and help shape how market data powers smarter trading decisions. As a Working Student, you’ll dive into the world of data licensing, compliance, and governance - a high-impact, highly connected space spanning trading, IT, and compliance.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn by doing: navigating vendor rules, improving our permissioning frameworks, and translating insights into actions that keep our business safe, compliant, and efficient.
- Support market data licensing and compliance activities that enable safe and compliant data usage across RWEST
- Maintain and improve permissioning frameworks so colleagues get the right data at the right time
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Trading, IT, Risk, and Compliance to align on decisions and solutions
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation to make our ways of working simpler and stronger
- Assist with vendor interactions and help keep our data inventory up to date and well governed
- Currently enrolled at university, ideally in business, economics, finance, data analytics, information systems, engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a structured way of working
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and SharePoint
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about market data, licensing, compliance, and energy trading processes
- Comfortable communicating in English with colleagues from different teams and asking questions when something is unclear
- Reliable team player who enjoys collaborating, taking responsibility for assigned tasks, and contributing to a respectful and inclusive working environment
- Exposure to financial markets or energy trading
- Experience with and interest in data and AI tools, e.g. using Copilot to create AI agents
- Understanding of access control or permissioning concepts

Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
