YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Become part of our Global Clinical Data Management team at Merz Therapeutics and support the oversight of clinical IT systems and data quality activities within a regulated GCP environment. This position is offered as an internship with a duration of 6 months, providing hands-on experience in clinical IT systems and data management within a global pharmaceutical environment. In this role, you will contribute to the following tasks:

  • Support oversight of clinical IT systems in a GCP-regulated environment
  • Track system status and maintain IT system documentation
  • Support implementation of regulatory requirements (e.g. GxP, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11) with vendors
  • Assist with system risk assessments, re-evaluations, and QA checklists
  • Support change management activities (updates, change control, decommissioning)
  • Support validation and qualification of data transfers and system interfaces
  • Assist with sponsor data quality oversight (data review, trend analysis, outlier detection)
  • Support filing, transfer, and archiving of essential IT and data oversight documents

YOUR PROFILE

  • Ongoing or completed degree in life sciences, health sciences, data science, IT, or a similar field
  • Basic knowledge of clinical research and GCP principles
  • Initial experience with clinical IT systems oversight or Clinical Data Management (e.g., internship, working student position)
  • Interest in clinical IT systems and clinical data review processes
  • Basic knowledge of systems such as EDC, IRT, eCOA, CTMS, or eTMF is a plus
  • Knowledge of database programming languages such as SAS/SQL/Python etc. is a plus
  • Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Fluent English (written and spoken), German is beneficial

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Gesundheitswesen in Frankfurt für dich bedeutet — Vergütungsregeln, Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
