Job Description

Technical   Assistance Management supports the Funds managed by Finance in Motion by   designing, developing, and managing capacity building projects in favor of   the partner institutions of the Funds and sector-level actors such as central   banks, financial-sector networks and business support organizations.   Technical Assistance projects under management cover a diverse number of   topical areas. 

The   primary area of activity will be in the Technical Assistance Facility of the   Green for Growth Fund (GGF), whose objectives are to support the Fund’s mission   of mitigating climate change and promoting sustainable economic growth,   catalyze GGF investments, and maximize the Fund’s impact. The GGF Technical   Assistance Facility achieves this by providing targeted know-how and   technical expertise to partners to successfully deliver green finance,   increasing its demand, and building green finance ecosystems in countries   where GGF operates.

Key   Responsibilities: 
  • Support the TAF team in the delivery   of customized technical assistance (TA) projects to the benefit of partner   institutions (primarily banks, leasing companies, MFIs, but also corporates   and renewable energy project developers, sector and business support   organizations). TA projects commonly focus on strategic capacity building for partners in green finance and ESG/climate risk approaches, technical support   for renewable energy and energy efficiency investments, innovative research   and analysis projects, as well as visibility and marketing events and   initiatives.
  • Engage in the different   stages of project development, management and implementation.       
  • Initiating and structuring TA projects in close collaboration with   Investment Management, including preparation of terms of reference (ToR).  
  • Research and identification of external service   providers/consultants and support in the procurement process.
  • Operational management & administration of TA projects, incl. monitoring   of allocated project budgets, payments and accounting documentation. 
  • Delivering timely and accurate data management, as well as provision   of project reports, including ad-hoc technical reports and progress updates   vis-à-vis planned activities and expected outputs.
  • Support the timely,   transparent, and comprehensive reporting to the TA Facility donors and   relevant governance bodies, such as the TA Facility Committee, GGF Board of   Directors, etc.
  • Other day-to-day tasks   related to the activities of the TAF  
 
What we expect:
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, development or environmental studies, sustainable finance, social   sciences, or a related field
  • Interest in sustainability topics and in supporting Finance in Motion’s mission 
  • Experience in data and knowledge management
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and oversee projects
  • Very good organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • Team player and good communicator. Ability to interact with different stakeholders with confidence   and clarity
  • Proficiency in MS Office, strong Excel skills and very good presentation skills 
  • Excellent written and spoken   English
  • Demonstrable commitment to   Finance in Motion´s vision/mission
