About the job

Working Student Accounting / Finance — Founder’s Office (m/f/d)

15–20h/week · Starting ASAP · Munich preferred · Remote (EU) possible

TL;DR

Work directly with the founders and ops team to build and scale the financial backbone of a YC-backed legal tech company. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to understand how finance, accounting, and operations interact in a fast-growing startup — from transactions to reporting to decision-making.

What we are looking for — top 1% across four dimensions

Analytical thinking

You understand numbers, spot patterns, and turn financial data into clear insights.

Execution speed

You move quickly and reliably — closing loops, keeping things clean, and pushing tasks to completion.

Ownership mindset

You take responsibility for outcomes. You don’t just process data — you ensure it’s correct, complete, and useful.

Structured problem solving

You bring order into financial processes, improve workflows, and build scalable systems.

About Beglaubigt.de

Legal processes in Germany and Europe are still slow, fragmented, and deeply offline — notarizations, company formations, registrations, certified translations, business addresses, and more. Beglaubigt.de is rebuilding this infrastructure from the ground up: digital-first, API-ready, and designed to operate at internet speed. Backed by Y Combinator, we process thousands of cases per year and work with banks, platforms, and service providers across Europe.

The Role

You will work closely with operations and founders on all finance and accounting-related topics.

This is not a pure back-office role. You will actively help build financial processes that scale with the company.

You will:

  • Support in accounting, invoicing, and reconciliation
  • Prepare and structure financial data (e.g. revenue tracking, P&L inputs)
  • Work with tools like Stripe, accounting software, and internal dashboards
  • Help improve and automate financial processes
  • Support reporting and analysis for key business metrics

Who Thrives Here

  • You think in numbers and care about accuracy
  • You enjoy structuring messy financial data
  • You work independently and reliably
  • You are detail-oriented but still move fast
  • You take ownership and follow through

Background

Strong candidates typically show one or more of the following:

  • Studies in business, finance, economics, or related fields
  • First experience in accounting, finance, or operations
  • Experience with Excel / Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking
  • High attention to detail

Requirements

  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strong numerical understanding
  • Reliable and structured way of working

What You Get

  • Direct exposure to founder-level decision making
  • Deep understanding of startup finance & operations
  • High ownership and responsibility
  • A steep learning curve in a fast-growing environment

Logistics

Start: ASAP

Working hours: 15–20h/week

Location: Munich preferred, remote in Europe possible

Hiring Process

  1. Intro call (motivation & fit)
  2. Short practical task
  3. Final conversation
  4. Offer
