Your Role
Integrated into a team of scientists and research engineers, you will work on research projects in medical robotics. This includes:
- Developing and testing concepts for medical robotics and robot-assisted surgery
- Evaluating concepts both in simulation and on real setups, getting hands-on experience with robotics in the medical field
- Conducting experiments in our robotics laboratory
- Presenting and discussing research findings in team and department meetings
- Working with researchers and engineers in a collaborative environment at the ZEISS Innovation Hub Karlsruhe, located at the KIT Campus North
- An opportunity to build the foundation for next-generation products

- Hands-on research experience in medical robotics, including experimental lab work

- You are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related field
- You have a strong engineering background and basic knowledge in robotics
- You have programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Python, ROS, C++
- Good communication skills in English and/or German
- A hands-on mentality, an open mind, and excellent problem-solving and innovation skills
- Passion for emerging technologies and motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary teams
