Your Role

- Support in planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments and test series in the field of thin-film coating development
- Examine optical samples for defects, cleanliness, and relevant optical properties using a range of measurement methods
- Perform measurements, tests, and measurement-system analyses
- Systematic collection, processing, and analysis of measurement and experiment data
- Document and present results within the team
- Contribute to the creation and optimization of test plans
- Regular work in a cleanroom under cleanroom conditions
Your Profile
- Currently enrolled in a natural science or engineering program, e.g., Physics, Optics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
- Interest in optical thin-film systems and experimental development work
- Strong technical understanding, as well as analytical and conceptual thinking
- Thorough, self-driven, and team-oriented working style, as well as manual dexterity and enthusiasm for handling delicate optical components and samples
- Initial hands-on experience with analytical measurement and laboratory methods (e.g., light microscopy, optical and mechanical measurements) is advantageous
- Knowledge in optical thin films, coating design, or coating technology is desirable
- Previous experience with data analysis and processing of measurement data, programming skills, and proficient use of MS Office are advantageous
- Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
