JOIN OUR TEAM

As a Working Student in the Supply Planning team at Westwing, you will be the driving operational force behind our supply planning team. You will push for an exceptional customer experience by ensuring inventory levels and purchase orders are monitored closely, and daily logistical hurdles are cleared. By combining your hands-on mentality with an exceptional detail-oriented work ethic, you will keep complex processes running smoothly in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position is permanent and based in Munich.

What You'll Do

  • Track and manage purchase orders while closely monitoring inventory levels to ensure they align with upcoming operational needs, and proactively communicate any delays or discrepancies to the relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in resolving operational bottlenecks and actively adapt processes to prevent future issues, ensuring an exceptional customer experience
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders such as Supply Chain Management and Buying to align on upcoming operational needs
  • Develop Standard Operating Fulfillment Procedures and support the implementation of process improvements to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency
  • Track core supply and inventory KPIs, conduct deep dives, and perform ad-hoc analyses to identify root causes of operational challenges

YOU COME WITH

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong interest in supply planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, and process improvement; initial practical experience through internships, working student positions, university projects, or extracurricular activities is a plus
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and an affinity for working with data, as well as advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to spot discrepancies and flag potential operational issues before they escalate
  • Comfort working independently while also thriving when collaborating within a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders; Fluency in English, German is a plus
