Working Student – AI Engineering (m/w/d)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Working Student to support our AI Engineering team in developing and testing practical AI-driven applications and proof-of-concepts, as well as supporting their transition towards production-ready solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern AI technologies while working alongside experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of AI-powered applications using existing models, services, and platforms.
• Assist in preparing and evaluating data required for AI use cases.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts using appropriate AI, data, and software development tools, and support their transition towards production-ready solutions.
• Support automation and optimization of engineering processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate potential AI use cases.
• Test, validate, and improve AI applications, including their reliability, usability, and output quality.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Python, software development, and AI concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with APIs, AI development tools, or data platforms is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with Git and software development practices.
• Exposure to enterprise AI assistants and low-code or no-code AI platforms is an advantage.
