About The Role

Starting September 1, 2026, we are offering an exciting 6-month internship (f/m/d) to support our GORE-TEX R&D Footwear Team in the areas of product development and prototyping in Feldkirchen-Westerham, in the greater Munich area. You’ll have the opportunity to help develop the very innovations that make our products even better and more appealing.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage product-related subprojects from concept to implementation in collaboration with our research and development department
  • Develop constructive solutions to technical challenges using 3D printing and hands-on prototyping
  • Conduct material and product analyses using modern measurement methods; develop new testing procedures as needed
  • Supporting field tests: organization, failure analysis, evaluation, and presentation of results
  • Optimizing processes and equipment in the production environment through exciting sub-projects
  • Statistical analysis of technical data, visualization of results, and derivation of recommendations

Qualifications

  • You are enrolled in a technical degree program such as mechanical engineering, materials science, textile engineering, or a comparable field
  • Initial experience with 3D CAD programs (e.g., SolidWorks™) is a plus
  • Fluency in English and good German skills
  • Basic knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SAS JMP) and programming (e.g., VBA) is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team and work independently and reliably
  • Clear and open communication, as well as the ability to persuasively present your own ideas
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and analytical approach
  • Curiosity and a spirit of inquiry when faced with new challenges
  • Initiative, commitment, and enjoyment of international collaboration
  • Passion for outdoor activities such as running or hiking is a plus
