What To Expect
As a Chemical Engineer Intern, you will support the Technical Services Operations & Maintenance Team in optimizing utility systems critical to Drive Unit, Cell and Battery production. You’ll assist in ensuring system reliability, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency while learning from industry experts. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies and sustainability initiatives central to Tesla’s mission.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the operations team in operating and maintaining the systems (abatement, industrial gases, filtration and others)
  • Contribute in planning and executing commissioning and start-up of new systems
  • Help develop SOPs and ensure adherence to EHS standards. Participate in safety audits and compliance checks
  • Manage small reliability and energy-saving projects
  • Support the development of work instructions and spare parts strategies
  • Contribute to defining the team’s maintenance strategy
  • Knowledgable in troubleshooting and resolving system issues
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and EHS teams, gaining hands-on experience in high-risk manufacturing processes


  • What You'll Bring

  • Currently studying or experienced in a relevant field such as Chemical or Process engineering
  • Skilled in using common MS Office applications
  • Awareness of safety protocols and interest in sustainability
  • Proficiency in English required; German Language is a plus
