About the team
Our Office Operations team creates the first impression of STARK. They ensure our offices run smoothly every day by welcoming guests, supporting employees, coordinating facilities, and maintaining an organized, professional working environment.
Your mission
As a Front Desk Intern, you will be the first point of contact for employees, candidates, customers, and visitors entering our office. You'll support the day-to-day operation of the front desk while ensuring a welcoming, professional, and well-organized environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, is highly organized, and takes pride in delivering an excellent experience for everyone visiting STARK.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist visitors, candidates, customers, and external partners
- Manage visitor check-in/check-out and support daily front desk operations
- Coordinate access cards, including requesting, issuing, collecting, and maintaining records
- Support employee onboarding activities several times per week
- Receive, organize, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries
- Prepare meeting rooms, coordinate catering requests, and manage parking access when required
- Maintain kitchen and common areas by checking supplies and ensuring they remain clean and organized throughout the day
- Monitor office presentation, including meeting rooms, kitchens, and shared spaces
- Support communication with satellite offices and assist with administrative office tasks
- Assist with general office administration and facilities-related activities
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a university or recently graduated and looking for an internship
- Previous experience in reception, front desk, hospitality, customer service, retail, or another customer-facing role is highly preferred
- Friendly, professional, and confident when interacting with guests and employees
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with multiple digital tools and office software
- Able to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Native-level or C1 German is required
- Fluent English is required
- Eligibility to obtain security clearance
Nice to have
- Experience working at a reception desk, hotel, customer service desk, or similar front-facing role
- Experience supporting office administration or facilities
- Experience with visitor management systems or access control
- First Aid certification is a plus
