Are you passionate about AI and ready to shape the future of industrial edge networks? Join us in Garching as a Working Student (f/m/d) and dive into cutting-edge research—from implementing reinforcement learning algorithms to contributing to impactful publications.

You'll make an impact by

  • You support the implementation and evaluation of reinforcement learning algorithms, applying your Python skills and mathematical knowledge to real-world industrial edge network scenarios
  • You assist in developing and experimenting with LLM-based agent frameworks and coordination mechanisms, helping to advance innovative AI solutions for distributed systems
  • Building on these activities, you contribute to the design, execution, and documentation of research experiments, ensuring that results are systematically recorded and analyzed
  • Finally, you help prepare research papers by analyzing data, creating figures, writing sections, and presenting findings to both internal and external audiences

This Is How You'll Win Us Over

  • Education: You are currently successfully studying computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience and Skills:
    • You have a solid foundation in mathematics, especially in optimization
    • You demonstrate proficiency in Python programming and a fundamental understanding of networking concepts
    • Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning frameworks, or academic writing is advantageous
  • Ways of Working: You work independently and collaboratively, showing strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Languages: Very good English skills are required
