Job description
We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What You’ll Do
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it is the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position title: SAP LOB & Solution Marketing iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Marketing Germany
Location: Walldorf, Germany
Expected start date: ideally one common start date for all four positions, or at least closely aligned start dates
Campaigns, Events & Communication: In this role, you support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns and events across selected Lines of Business in Germany. A strong focus is on communication around these activities – from event-related emails and landing pages to social media posts, website updates, invitations, reminders, and follow-up communication. You help ensure that campaigns and events are visible, well communicated, and professionally executed from start to finish.
Content & Asset Creation: You create and adapt marketing content for different channels and audiences. This includes social media content (for example LinkedIn posts), website content, event materials, presentation assets, and other communication formats used in day-to-day marketing work. Your work contributes directly to how SAP presents topics, events, and value propositions to customers and partners.
Working with Modern Tools & AI: You use modern marketing and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Canva, CMS systems (for example AEM), email marketing tools (for example Adobe Marketo), and the Microsoft Office suite. You learn how these tools are used in a real marketing environment and actively apply them in your daily work – from drafting and ideation to coordination and execution.
Collaboration, Learning Curve & LoB Assignment: You work closely with internal marketing colleagues, Presales teams, external agencies, speakers, and event partners. From the beginning, you take ownership of clearly defined tasks while receiving active support and feedback from the team. Each position is assigned to one focus area – Supply Chain, Finance and Spend Management, SAP Business Technology Platform and Business Data Cloud, or Human Capital Management and Customer Experience – so that you can build topic knowledge and gradually develop a deeper understanding of one or two subject areas while remaining part of the broader LOB & Solution Marketing organization in Germany.
What You´ll Bring
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, stays curious, and enjoys contributing to creative, hands-on projects in a dynamic marketing environment. If you like turning ideas into communication formats and enjoy working on campaigns and events with visible impact, this role offers a strong learning opportunity.
The LOB & Solution Marketing team is part of SAP Germany Marketing and the broader SAP Field Marketing organization. Be part of SAP Next Gen, a global community for students, universities, schools, and educational partners who are passionate about innovation and technology.
Culture of Collaboration: You work with experienced SAP colleagues and benefit from close collaboration, regular feedback, and a supportive team environment. The role offers room for your own ideas while also giving you a realistic view of how cross-functional marketing work happens in practice.
Project-driven Experience: From day one, you contribute to real campaigns and events instead of only supporting administrative tasks. You gain hands-on insight into planning, communication, execution, and continuous improvement, while also building practical skills in storytelling, stakeholder coordination, and digital marketing execution.
Gain Visibility: You collaborate with colleagues across teams and functions, work on externally visible communication, and help shape marketing activities that reach customers and partners. This gives you a strong understanding of how professional B2B marketing works within SAP.
Early ownership is a defining feature of this role. You take responsibility for clearly defined work packages, contribute your own ideas, and see the direct impact of your work. At the same time, you are supported by a structured onboarding and by colleagues who help you grow into the role.
The role is especially suited to someone who enjoys communication, storytelling, visual content, and the combination of creativity with structured execution. You do not need to know everything on day one – but you should be ready to learn, contribute, and actively shape your internship experience.
You work closely with internal marketing colleagues, Presales teams, external agencies, event partners, and additional stakeholders in an iterative way, with regular check-ins and active team support.
In your first weeks, you will go through a structured onboarding covering relevant tools, team structures, and key processes. Over time, you will build practical skills in communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and campaign and event execution in a dynamic environment.
A shared start date for all four positions creates a cohort of interns who can learn from and support one another from the beginning. The role combines real project work, visible communication tasks, modern tools, and the opportunity to gain meaningful insight into one of SAP Germany’s central marketing organizations.
