Job description

About Rime Finance

At Rime Finance, we're redefining access to private market investments by building the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. Our mission is to empower fintechs, (neo-)brokers and other financial companies with seamless access to private markets funds such as private equity, private credit and venture capital. Markets traditionally reserved for a privileged few. We achieve this through a cutting-edge API, an efficient secondary market, and a secure settlement layer powered by Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).

We move quickly, solve hard problems, and care deeply about the impact we create in the world of alternative investments.

Your Mission

As a Founders Associate at Rime Finance, you'll work directly alongside the founding team on the most pressing marketing, operational, and commercial challenges facing the business. This is not a traditional working student role, you'll be embedded at the heart of a fast-moving fintech, getting exposure across business development, marketing, product strategy, investor relations, and operations from day one.

You'll take ownership of projects that directly shape how we grow, how we operate, and how we show up to partners and investors. Think of this as an accelerated track into the world of early-stage fintech.

What You'll Work On

You'll support the founding team across a range of high-impact areas, including researching, preparing materials for investor updates, partnership pitches, marketing and strategic discussions, driving operational initiatives to help the team scale efficiently, supporting business development efforts by identifying and qualifying potential clients and partners, and synthesising competitive intelligence and industry trends into actionable insights.

About You

You're currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, ideally in Finance, Business, Law, Economics, or a related field. You have a strong analytical mindset, combined with creativity to solve problems in a dynamic surrounding quickly. You communicate clearly and concisely - in writing, in decks, and in conversations. You're proactive by nature: you spot what needs doing and do it without being asked. You have a genuine interest in fintech, private markets, or venture capital, and you thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where no two weeks look the same.

You'll Excel in This Role If

You're excited by the intersection of finance and technology and want to understand how innovative financial infrastructure gets built. You enjoy owning projects end-to-end rather than supporting from the sidelines. You're comfortable context-switching between strategic thinking and getting into the details. You see a working student role as a launchpad, not just a line on your CV.

What We Offer

🌟 Competitive Compensation: A fair hourly rate that reflects your contribution and the level of responsibility you take on.

⏰ Flexible Work Environment: We understand you're a student first. We work around your schedule with a healthy mix of remote and in-person time at our Berlin office.

📚 Real Learning, Real Impact: You'll get exposure to topics most graduates only read about; cap tables, fund structures, DLT settlements, API-driven financial products alongside the people building them.

🧑‍💻 A Seat at the Table: As part of a small, ambitious team, your work and ideas will have visible impact on our business trajectory.

🚀 A Path Forward: Strong performers will have opportunities to grow with us, whether that means a full-time role post-graduation or a strong network and reference in the fintech and VC world.

Application Process

  • Introductory Call (30 mins) - Meet one of the founders to learn more about Rime Finance, our culture, and what this role actually looks like day-to-day.
  • Case & Conversation (45–60 mins) - A practical exercise and discussion to explore how you think, structure problems, and communicate findings. No preparation is needed.
  • Meet the Team - Join us in Berlin to get a feel for the team and the office over coffee or lunch.
  • Offer Call (30 mins) - Discuss the details, ask your remaining questions, and align on next steps.

If you're ambitious, curious, and want to help build something meaningful in financial markets, we'd love to hear from you at [email protected].
