Description provided by revel8
Our mission
We’re on a mission to create 10 million human firewalls! At revel8, we redefine cybersecurity training with hyper-realistic simulations that reflect today’s evolving attack landscape. Our innovative platform combines AI-driven multi-channel attacks with gamified, real-time learning to build resilience where it matters most: the people.
Your mission
Our platform simulates attacks that look and feel real – and the product our customers use every day should feel just as sharp. As our Product Design Intern, you work directly with product and engineering to shape how revel8 looks, feels, and works. You sit right at the line between design and code, turning ideas into prototypes, making our platform accessible to everyone, and growing the design system that keeps it all consistent. Success looks like a product that feels more polished, more accessible, and faster to build on than when you joined.
How Your Day-to-day Will Look Like
- User Flows & UI Design: You map out user flows and design clean, intuitive interfaces in Figma (or your design tool of choice), turning complex security workflows into experiences that feel simple.
- Prototyping with Product & Engineering: You work hand in hand with our product and engineering teams to design and build prototypes, test ideas quickly, and help bring new features from concept to production.
- Accessibility: You audit our platform for accessibility issues and fix them, making sure revel8 works for every user, not just most of them.
- Interaction Polish: You obsess over the details that make a product feel great: states, consistency, spacing, and motion.
- Design System: You improve and extend our design system, adding new components and patterns so the whole team can build faster and more consistently.
Is it you we are looking for?
You...
- are currently enrolled in a Master’s program and available for a full-time internship, starting as soon as possible.
- have an online portfolio that shows how you think, not just what you shipped.
- have a strong eye for detail in layout, typography, and hierarchy – a misaligned pixel bothers you more than it should.
- bring a basic understanding of accessibility and accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and care about building for everyone.
- are comfortable working with Figma files, from navigating complex libraries to keeping your own files clean and handover-ready.
- are curious about LLMs and excited to explore how they can change the way we design and build.
- are fluent in English, enabling seamless collaboration within our international team.
Bonus:
- Strong HTML and CSS skills, plus knowledge of React or TypeScript – you can take a design all the way into code.
- Hands-on experience working with or contributing to a design system.
- Experience working with Git.
- An interest in cybersecurity and the human side of it.
Why revel8?
- Our revelutionary Energy: Join a team that’s ambitious, kind, and genuinely excited about what we’re building. We move fast, we have fun, and we treat each other well.
- Kickstart your career: You’ll work on a real product used by real customers, see your designs ship, and get the kind of ownership and impact you only get in an early-stage startup.
- New Munich Office: We thrive on an office-first culture and moved our whole team from Berlin to Munich in February – unlimited coffee, table soccer and good vibes included.
- Your Daily Balance: EGYM Wellpass so you can take care of your body while you’re in startup mode.
- Stay with us: Strong performers often continue with revel8 in a working student role or full-time position after the internship. We love growing talent we’ve already worked with.

About Us
revel8 is building the next generation of cybersecurity awareness for the age of GenAI. We help organizations protect themselves against modern social engineering attacks by turning their employees into an active line of defense.
It's been a fast ride so far: Founded in August 2024 by Tom and Julius, we moved to the Merantix Campus in Berlin and welcomed Robert as our CTO and co-founder shortly after. We landed our first enterprise customer in March 2025, raised our €5.1M seed round in September 2025, and moved the whole team back to Munich in February 2026. Today, we are around 40 revels working side by side in our new office every day.
Early days. Big mission. Come build it with us!
revel8 is an equal opportunity employer. We hire based on what you bring to the role, not on race, religion, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, or gender identity. We are committed to equal opportunity throughout our entire hiring process. To protect your privacy, please leave out any personal information about your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, or sexual orientation from your application.
