Job description

Description provided by PiFusion GmbH

About PiFusion:

We make manufacturing knowledge accessible, actionable and scalable.

Modern manufacturing relies on increasingly complex machines and processes, yet critical production knowledge often remains tied to individual experience. When expertise is lost, decisions become harder, setups take longer and process quality suffers.

PiFusion develops an AI-powered platform that connects machine data, production processes and human expertise to build a structured foundation of manufacturing intelligence. It makes process knowledge traceable, reusable and directly accessible to operators where decisions happen: on the shop floor.

Designed for demanding industrial environments, our platform runs entirely on-premise, keeping sensitive production data within the customer's facility.

Your role:

To expand our market presence, we're looking for a working student with commercial judgement, initiative and an interest in how industrial companies evaluate and adopt new technology. You'll work at the intersection of marketing, business development and product, and contribute directly to how PiFusion positions itself and which customers it approaches next.

Your topics include in particular:

  • Managing our LinkedIn presence: company page and founder content, editorial planning, and engagement with our professional network
  • Translating technical capabilities into clear external communication: short films, case notes, one-pagers, trade-fair material and website content
  • Researching and qualifying target plants and machine builders in Germany and internationally, and maintaining the opportunity pipeline
  • Preparing outreach, trade-fair participation and initial customer meetings, including structured follow-up
  • Supporting proposals, presentations and partner communication together with the team

What you bring:

  • Enrolled in business administration, marketing, communications, industrial engineering or a comparable field, with at least two semesters still to go
  • Good written German and English, and the ability to present a technical product clearly and concisely
  • Genuine interest in manufacturing and in the operational reality of production environments
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn, a design tool, and spreadsheet-based analysis
  • Independent, structured way of working and an appetite for responsibility
  • Confidence in direct communication with prospective customers and partners
  • Eagerness to learn and to get into new industrial topics fast

Nice to have:

  • First experience in B2B marketing, sales or a startup environment
  • Video editing, design or copywriting portfolio
  • Exposure to the machine-tool, automotive or industrial supplier sector
  • Experience organising trade-fair appearances or events

What we offer:

  • Active involvement: from your first draft to a published campaign or a confirmed customer meeting, you own the result
  • Interdisciplinary work: marketing, business development, product and industrial customers at the same time
  • Strong perspective: you build the go-to-market for systems that will shape the next generation of industrial production environments
  • Start on 1 February 2027, 10-15 hours a week, hybrid in Munich, hours flexible around your lectures
  • Work directly with the CEO and the team, no layers in between
