Business Unit Overview
This position is part of Novanta’s Advanced Surgery business unit. Specialized in the field of Minimally Invasive Medicine, Novanta Medical develops devices and accessories so that doctors can operate with small cuts. We produce Cameras, Insufflators, Medical Pumps, and tubing that makes diagnosis and treatment easier for everyone. Our insufflators and pump systems dilate cavities in the body and turn previously complicated surgeries into minor procedures. Together with customers, doctors, and technical experts, our teams continuously search for new ways to innovate.
Job Summary
Execution and evaluation of proof-of-concept studies, quality and functional tests of insufflators and peristaltic pumps as well as disposable tube sets (transport tests, functional tests, tensile strength tests, shelf-life tests, air bubble leak test etc.) including documentation in English language.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the development, prototyping, execution, and analysis of proof-of-concept studies for medical insufflators, pumps, and disposable devices.
- Create CAD models for prototypes.
- Analyze data using MS Excel and Python.
- Draft test reports in MS Word.
Required Experience, Education, Skills And Competencies
- Bachelorant/Masterant Medical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering /Electrical Engineering
- Good technical understanding
- Logical and analytical work
- Knowledge in the documentation of scientific results
- Very good knowledge of English
- Quality conscious, trustworthy and reliable
- Structured and systematic way of working
- Team player
- Communicative skills
