This is why the Supply Chain Due Diligence team of experts are looking forward to welcoming you as a Student Assistant at Meo headquarters in Cologne.If you are passionate about sustainability and would like to join our highly motivated and diverse teams to make a difference, we are looking forward to your application!

Your Main Duties Will Be

  • You will actively support shaping the development and implementation of a new certification system for sustainable peat substitutes that are used in potting soils and professional growing media as an alternative to peat (HORTICERT)
  • You will manage the maintenance of the HORTICERT website and drive communication and public relations activities, especially on LinkedIn
  • You will support another project with assessing sustainability risks of new growing media and creating preliminary greenhouse gas calculations
  • You will work on further topics related to sustainability certification and sustainable supply chains, including administrative tasks, further development of sustainability requirements, supply chain traceability, alignment with legal requirements, and quality management
  • You will assist in creating reports, presentations and information materials, contributing to both content development and visual presentation
  • You will be involved in customer care and communication with system users
  • You will perform data research, analysis, and evaluation for specific customer requests and market studies

Your profile

  • Currently pursuing a degree in agricultural science, organic agriculture, agricultural economics, environmental engineering, natural resource management, natural sciences, life sciences, sustainable management, or other related fields
  • You have weekly availability for 15-20 hours for at least 1 year
  • Additional experience in the following areas of advantage: sustainability certification, policy consulting, GHG/carbon footprint calculation, stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken (at least C1)
  • Strong research skills as well as the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging and visually compelling content
  • High degree of initiative and commitment combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude
  • Very good computer and MS Office skills, IT proficiency is a benefit
