Debt Syndicate Germany is a product unit at the core of UniCredit’s Advisory & Financing Solutions business. Our clients are companies from small and medium enterprises to large multinational corporates. The unit takes responsibility for structuring, pricing and placement of syndicated loans in close coordination with Investment Grade Financing Solutions, Debt Capital Markets, Leverage Finance Solutions, relationship managers as well as with other banks. Typical transactions include M&A financings, refinancings, pre/post IPO financings and recapitalizations for our German and European Investment Grade and non-Investment Grade clients.
What you can expect from us
- Preparation of client pitch books and syndication materials for internal and external purposes
- Insight into the entire lifecycle of loan syndication – from the initial pitch to the closing of the transaction
- Conducting research on the current loan and debt capital markets
- Assistance with reporting for internal and external purposes
- Close interaction with colleagues from UniCredit’s various corporate finance units and representatives from other banks (where applicable)
- Study in Economics, Business Administration, Banking or related Finance/Business studies
- Strong proficiency in oral and written English and German
- Knowledge of accounting standards and corporate finance essentials
- Interest to analyze and prepare supporting materials for a variety of corporates
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and under (time) pressure
- Experience in MS Office products
- Eagerness to learn, attention to detail and structured manner of work

Weekly hours
Internships have no 20-hour cap, but a voluntary internship longer than three months generally has to pay at least the German minimum wage. Mandatory internships in your study programme are exempt.

Mandatory internships are largely exempt from social contributions. Voluntary internships are treated like regular employment once they run long enough, so contributions usually apply.
