We are seeking a motivated and analytical working student to join our Inland Commercial team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between various departments, driving inland volume and ensuring profitable pricing strategies. Your work will involve a range of tasks, from pricing calculations to developing marketing materials and supporting budget creation.

What You`ll Do

  • Act as a liaison between Area Sales, Area Inland Sales, Operations and Regional Sales, fostering collaboration
  • Ensure inland pricing aligns with the Area Germany & Central Europe pricing strategy, maintaining profitability
  • Calculate and determine prices for tenders and customer inquiries, providing accurate and competitive quotes
  • Conduct analyses and generate reports on growth potential, profitability, and performance tracking
  • Develop marketing materials to promote and support the sale of inland products and services
  • Assist in creating and achieving the inland budget and forecasts, contributing to financial planning
  • Participate in projects related to inland sales and operations, offering fresh perspectives and solutions
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and stay updated on industry trends and best practices, providing insights to the team

What Makes You A Fit

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time program in a shipping-related field, business administration, transport economics, or a comparable program with availability of approximately 12 months
  • Practical experience in the shipping, logistics, or forwarding industry is preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential for data analysis and presentation
  • Knowledge of inland processes from a Sales/Operations perspective is a key requirement
  • Strong analytical skills and a creative approach to problem-solving are vital for this role
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative, teamwork, and assertiveness in your work and work systematically, with a goal-oriented and efficient approach to tasks
  • Excellent command of written and spoken German, with good English language skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively, as well as a passion for the shipping industry and a desire to contribute to its growth
