Internship posting: Psychology Internship – Digital mental health in the Middle East (Palestine) Remote | Start: Flexible| Duration: 3–6 months, weekly hours by agreement | Language: (German), English, Arabic | Supervision by licensed psychological psychotherapist

About Us

We are an interdisciplinary team developing a digital mental health platform specifically for the MENA region (focus: Palestine). Our goal is to make culturally relevant, evidence-based psychological content accessible to people in conflict zones – in the form of an app that is low- threshold, effective, and trustworthy. We are also offering online psychological sessions for Arabic-speaking individuals in crisis regions (focus: Palestine) and giving online workshops at a university in Gaza.

What is the internship about?

You will support us in the development and implementation of digital therapy formats – from content creation to project coordination. You will work closely with experienced psychologists in Germany and the MENA region, content designers, and the tech team.

Your tasks

• Contributing to psychoeducational content, self-help tools, and reflection exercises

• Translating scientific concepts into accessible, everyday digital formats (e.g., text, audio, app modules)

• Supporting project management and interdisciplinary collaboration (e.g., editorial planning, timelines, testing)

• Assisting with quality assurance and user-centered development (analyzing user feedback, contributing ideas, further development)

Your profile

• Current Bachelor's or Master's student in Psychology (at least 3rd semester)

• Interest in digital mental health and social impact

• Excellent English and Arabic skills (German is a plus but not required)

• Ability to present scientific content in an understandable and empathetic way

• Independent, structured work style and enthusiasm for international collaboration

What to expect

• Insights into global digital psychological product development against the backdrop of conflict zones

• Active participation in an interdisciplinary team

• Flexible working hours and location-independent work

• Appreciative work culture with room for initiative

• Upon request: Letter of recommendation or academic supervision
